Komodo Beech terrarium substrate 6 l

Komodo coarse beech chips are a natural substrate for lining the floors of terrariums and vivariums housing reptiles, including snakes and lizards. The material comes from sustainably managed forestry and is kiln-dried, so it contains no excess moisture or pests at the time of packing. The substrate works well in dry terrariums as well as those needing slightly higher humidity, because beech chips hold water well without rotting.

Use

The substrate is suitable for most popular reptile species kept in home terrariums. Simply spread a layer of chips on the bottom of the enclosure - a thicker layer makes it easier to dig and build burrows, which animals with natural burrowing instincts appreciate. The substrate blends well with terrarium decorations, bark and plants, creating a naturalistic arrangement close to conditions in the reptiles' natural habitat.
