Microsoft Kinect – touchless motion sensor for Xbox 360

Kinect is a motion sensor that lets the Xbox 360 console recognize the player's body and gestures without having to hold a controller. The set includes both the sensor itself and the Kinect Adventures game, so you can start playing right away.

Body control instead of a gamepad

The device tracks the movements of the whole body and translates them into in-game actions – the player becomes the controller. This solution works especially well in family and party games, which you can play standing up, using the whole body.

Kinect Adventures included

The included Kinect Adventures game is a collection of short mini-games designed specifically for motion control, making it a good introduction to the sensor's capabilities for both children and adults.

Setup and requirements

The sensor connects to the Xbox 360 console and is placed under the TV or on a dedicated stand, so that it has a clear field of view of the room where the game takes place.
