BT-168D LCD battery and rechargeable cell tester for AAA AA.

Easy to use.

The device offered is a simple tester for assessing the condition of batteries and rechargeable cells. The tester measures the voltage of the tested battery or cell under a 120Ω load and shows the result on the LCD display. By comparing the displayed voltage with the nominal voltage of the tested cell, you can judge the battery's condition and whether it is still usable (whether the rechargeable cell needs charging). Thanks to its sliding contacts, the tester can check AA/AAA cylindrical cells and button cells of various sizes, while additional contacts at the front also allow testing 9V batteries. The + and - markings on the housing show the direction in which to place the cell for measurement.

Fully self-powered.

The tester needs no power supply of its own; the power source is the battery being checked (with a completely dead battery no value will be displayed - remember to place the cell correctly for measurement, ensure proper contact and press the battery terminals firmly against the tester's contacts).

Table of values on the back.

A table of voltage values is printed on the back of the tester, classifying the tested cell as good, fair or needing replacement. Because of the different battery types and manufacturing technologies, however, the values in the table should be treated as indicative (the reference values in the table are based on standard DURACELL batteries).
