Brass Zodiac armillary sphere – Nagina International

An armillary sphere is an old model of the sky made of concentric rings, used by astronomers and navigators. This version from Nagina International is made of brass in an antique brass finish and mounted on a lacquered solid wood base. The effect resembles old instruments from captains' cabins and scholars' studies.

The total height is about 9 inches, or approx. 23 cm, and the width of the globe is about 5 inches, or approx. 13 cm. The whole weighs roughly 500 g, so it stands stably on a desk, shelf or chest of drawers. As a celestial globe it shows a celestial map with the zodiac.
