Sony FE 14 mm F1.8 GM (SEL14F18GM)

Ultra-wide angle and high speed

The SEL14F18GM is a 14 mm prime lens from the G Master series for full-frame cameras with a Sony E mount. The combination of a very wide angle with an F1.8 aperture makes it particularly valued in astrophotography, where it lets you capture the Milky Way with shorter exposure times.

Features

• two XA (extreme aspherical) elements
• ED glass elements limiting color fringing
• aperture ring with a click-stop switch
• AF/MF switch and focus hold button
• rear gel filter holder (no front thread)
• fixed lens hood

Use

A fast ultra-wide-angle lens also works well for architecture, interior and landscape photography and for handheld vlogs. It weighs only about 460 g, which is a very good result for such speed and makes long night sessions in the field easier.
