Sony FE 16-25 mm F2.8 G (SEL1625G)

A small, fast wide-angle zoom

The SEL1625G is one of the smallest full-frame F2.8 wide-angle zooms for the Sony E mount. It weighs approx. 409 g, yet still offers a constant F2.8 aperture across the entire 16-25 mm range. The lens belongs to the G series.

Features

• constant F2.8 aperture
• minimum focusing distance of 0.17 m and 0.2x magnification
• fast and quiet autofocus, useful for video
• aperture ring with a click switch
• AF/MF switch and focus hold button
• 67 mm filter thread

Applications

The compact wide-angle zoom works well for travel, landscapes, architecture and vlogs. The low weight makes work on a gimbal easier, and the short focusing distance allows close-up shots with a wide background. The lens complements fast primes and standard zooms well, making up a lightweight travel kit.
