Sony FE 16 mm F1.8 G – ultra-wide prime for travelers and creators

107-degree field of view

The FE 16 mm F1.8 G is a full-frame prime lens with a Sony E mount. The very wide field of view, about 107 degrees, lets you fit a sweeping landscape, architecture or interior in the frame, and when filming handheld it captures both the creator and the surroundings. The F1.8 speed helps with night shots, auroras and low-light shots.

Key features

• G-series optics with aspherical and ED elements
• Nano AR coating and fluorine coating on the front element
• construction sealed against weather conditions
• aperture ring with the ability to unlock clicks
• fast, quiet autofocus, also at 120p

Small and light

It is one of the lightest full-frame lenses this wide and fast, so it does not weigh down a backpack or a gimbal. On APS-C bodies it gives a framing equivalent to approx. 24 mm, which makes it a practical vlogging lens.
