Sony FE 20 mm F1.8 G – fast wide-angle prime

Wide frame and plenty of light

The SEL20F18G is a full-frame prime lens with the Sony E mount. The 20 mm focal length and a field of view of about 94 degrees work well for landscape, architecture and interior photography, and the F1.8 speed opens the way to night sky photos and low-light work without high ISO.

Key features

• G-series optics with aspherical and ED elements
• Nano AR coating reducing flare
• fast and quiet autofocus
• aperture ring and focus hold button
• dust- and moisture-resistant construction

Light also on a gimbal

The lens is compact and light, so video creators like to use it: it fits on a gimbal, and the wide angle makes handheld shooting and vlogging easier. On APS-C bodies it behaves like a roughly 30 mm lens, a versatile, slightly wide focal length.
