Sony FE 85 mm F1.8 - classic portrait lens

Beautiful background blur

The SEL85F18 is a full-frame, medium telephoto lens with a Sony E mount. The 85 mm focal length is considered classic for portraits: it gives a flattering perspective of the face and lets you work from a comfortable distance. The F1.8 aperture and 9-blade round diaphragm create soft, round background blur.

Key features

• ED glass element for sharpness from the center to the corners of the frame
• dual linear motor providing fast and quiet autofocus
• programmable focus hold button and AF/MF switch
• minimum focusing distance 0.8 m
• dust- and moisture-resistant construction

Compact and light

The lens is relatively small for a fast 85 mm, so it is suitable for outdoor sessions, weddings and street photography. On APS-C bodies it gives an angle of view corresponding to approx. 127.5 mm.
