Akira 35th Anniversary Box Set – collectible hardcover manga

Akira is one of the most important works in the history of Japanese comics and a reference point for the entire cyberpunk genre. The anniversary Akira box set from Kodansha Comics collects Katsuhiro Otomo's entire story in an elegant cardboard slipcase. An ideal gift for a manga Akira fan and for anyone who wants the classic in a full edition on their bookshelf.

What the set contains

The box holds a collection of hardcover volumes, over two and a half thousand pages in total, telling the story of motorcycle gangs, secret military experiments and apocalyptic Neo-Tokyo. The edition is in English, and the page layout reproduces the original, so you read in the Japanese direction, from right to left.

Who it is for

• for collectors looking for a collectible manga to last for years,
• for fans of animated films and science fiction,
• for adult readers – the series is intended for people aged 18 and over.

Specifications

The set is large and heavy, so we ship it carefully packed so that the slipcase arrives undamaged. If you are looking for an exceptional item for your collection, this box set is one of the most recommendable options among hardcover manga editions.
