Electrical Language – Independent British Synth Pop 78-84

Electrical Language is a collector's box set from the Cherry Red label, devoted to the independent British synth-pop scene of 1978-1984. It was a period when cheap synthesizers and drum machines opened the way to a new sound, and young bands began releasing records on small, independent labels.

About the release

The set gathers recordings by artists from that scene, both those who later found fame and lesser-known bands whose recordings are hard to find today. The release in a clamshell box is a document of an era that shaped electronic music and 1980s pop.

Who it is for

The box set will appeal to fans of synth-pop, new wave and early electronic music, and to collectors looking for less obvious recordings from the early 1980s.

Physical edition

A physical edition with the original artwork and printed material is a keepsake that streaming cannot replace, and also a guarantee that your favorite recordings stay in your home collection for years. The disc is best stored in its case, away from sunlight and heat sources, and before buying make sure your player supports the format.
