IMI Flugel Horn 4 valves Bb - Bb flugelhorn with silver finish

The flugelhorn is a brass wind instrument with a warmer, softer sound than the trumpet. It is often chosen in jazz, brass bands and chamber ensembles. This one, marked 00 FGH 4V, is made of brass with a nickel-copper finish and comes in a hard case with a mouthpiece.

Key features

• pitch: B flat (Bb),
• four valves with pearl buttons, operating smoothly,
• brass body, polished silver finish,
• length approx. 47 cm, bell diameter approx. 15 cm,
• case and mouthpiece included.

Who it is for

The instrument is described as suitable for beginner, intermediate and more experienced musicians. The fourth valve makes playing in the low registers easier and improves intonation in more difficult passages, and the wide bore gives the sound its characteristic softness.

Care

After playing, wipe the body with a soft cloth, oil the valves regularly and store the flugelhorn in its case to preserve the finish and the smooth operation of the mechanism.

In the box

Flugelhorn, hard case, mouthpiece. The set is ready to play straight out of the box and makes a good gift for a trumpet player.
