MANNOL Defender 10W-40 – engine oil in a 20 l canister

MANNOL Defender is an engine oil with SAE 10W-40 viscosity designed for passenger cars and vans with petrol and diesel engines. The 20-liter package is economical for workshops and for people who service several vehicles themselves and want to keep a supply of oil.

Parameters and approvals

The oil meets the API SL/CF and ACEA A3/B3 classifications. The manufacturer also states compliance with Mercedes-Benz 229.1 and Volkswagen 501.01 and 505.00 requirements. The density at 15°C is about 868 kg/m³, and the kinematic viscosity is 95.3 cSt at 40°C and 14.07 cSt at 100°C with a viscosity index of 151. The flash point is 224°C and the pour point is minus 42°C.

Who it's for

It is a suggestion for older and middle-aged engines in which the manufacturer allows oils of the 10W-40 grade. Before buying, check the required viscosity and standards in the vehicle manual.
