LY500 welding mask with automatic auto-darkening

The LY500 helmet is a basic safety item for welding work – it protects the eyes and face from the electric arc, sparks and UV/IR radiation during TIG, MIG and stick welding. The filter cartridge darkens automatically in 1/10,000 of a second thanks to a dual arc sensor, so the operator does not have to manually raise and lower the helmet before each arc strike.

Safety and standards

The cartridge meets the EN 379 standard, and the shell made of impact- and heat-resistant polyamide complies with the EN 175 standard for face protection in welding and related work. Compliance with ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3 confirms resistance to mechanical impact. The shade level can be adjusted smoothly in the range DIN 4/9-13, chosen to suit the type of welding and the current.

Working comfort

The mask weighs about 470 g and is equipped with an anatomical headband with adjustment of head circumference and lens distance from the face, which reduces neck fatigue during longer welding sessions. External knobs let you change the sensitivity and the lightening delay without taking off the helmet, which is useful when working in varying workshop lighting.

Applications

It works in an auto repair shop, for repairs of steel structures, and in construction work requiring occasional welding. The set includes a spare inner lens and two outer protective lenses, so you can quickly replace scratched elements without buying a new mask.
