QUARKZMAN round aluminum rod 6 x 300 mm

A set of two solid round aluminum rods, that is, raw mill stock ready for further machining. Each rod has a diameter of 6 mm and a length of 300 mm. According to the manufacturer's description they are made of 6061 alloy, valued for good strength, machinability and corrosion resistance.

Properties

• Smooth surface, easy to turn, cut and drill.
• Can be cut to any length as needed.
• Lightweight, corrosion-resistant material.
• Dimensions were measured by hand, so deviations of 0.1-0.5 mm are possible.

Use

Aluminum rods are used to make axles and shafts in modeling, short gear and motor shafts, supports and prototypes in the workshop. They are also suitable for lathe practice.

Before machining it is worth measuring the rod with calipers, because dimensions may differ slightly. Aluminum cuts easily with a hacksaw, and the edges after cutting are smoothed with a file or sandpaper.
