Tonysa CCFL inverter tester

The Tonysa tester is used to check the condition of CCFL lamps and backlight inverters in laptop and TV LCD panels. It enables a quick diagnosis of whether a dark or flickering image is caused by a faulty inverter, before deciding to replace it.

How it works

The device connects directly to a 12V power supply with a current of 1 to 4 A and lets you test two lamps shorter than 15 inches at the same time. The tester works with various types of CCFL tubes without needing to solder pins, which speeds up diagnosis considerably.

Additional use

Besides testing LCD screens, the device can be used to light advertising boards and signs fitted with CCFL lamps, which makes it a useful tool outside laptop servicing too.
