Outcast 2 - open-world action game for Xbox Series X

Outcast 2 is a sequel to the cult action-adventure game from the late nineties, published by THQ Nordic for the Xbox Series X console. You play Cutter Slade, a former Navy SEAL who returns after many years to the alien planet Adelpha. There he discovers that its inhabitants, the Talan, have been enslaved and the world stripped of its natural resources.

Gameplay

• a non-linear, open world that you can explore at your own pace,
• a jetpack that lets you jump, glide and move quickly around the map,
• weapon modules that you combine to create your own arsenal against the invaders' robots,
• hidden temples, dangerous animals and Talan villages to liberate.

World and presentation

The game focuses on a handcrafted, colorful world and an extensive story tied to Talan culture. The music was composed by Lennie Moore, a composer known from the first game in the series.

Who it is for

It is a title for players who like exploration, freedom to choose the order of quests, and a story set in a fantasy universe. If you are looking for an Xbox Series X game outside the biggest franchises, Outcast 2 is an interesting option.
