Garmin microphone extension cable for VHF 210/210i radio

The Garmin microphone extension cable is a 10-meter cable with a 12-pin connector – connected between the unit and the handheld microphone, extending its reach. It works with the VHF 210 and 210i radios, as well as the GHS 11/11i handset, letting you operate the radio from a spot away from the main panel, for example from a second helm station on a boat.

Use on a yacht

The solution is especially useful on larger vessels, where the bridge or helm station is some distance from where the VHF radio is installed. The cable lets you use the microphone freely without having to move the entire device.

Installation

The extension cable connects directly between the microphone and the radio's 12-pin socket, keeping the full functionality of the buttons and microphone. The installation requires no additional wiring beyond the extension cable itself.

Length and build

A 10-meter cable is enough in most cases for typical boats and yachts. The 12-pin connector ensures full compatibility with the microphone socket of the VHF 210/210i radio.
